reflective analysis's- Mayra- What I learned from Native son

After reading Native Son I learned many things. I learned that fear can change our behavior and make us do things we never thought of doing, things that would change our lives for ever. Also that I should have more compassion, respect, and understand others. It also teach me that having a good relationship with our family and especially a good communication with parents is important because they will always be there to help you and support you when you need help. Also showed me that the want of power could make us hurt our love ones and the want of power would not let you be happy. It also teach me that we should fight for equality. I know racism is not as bad as it use to be but it still exist in our world. Another thing that I learned was that the choices we take would follow us everywhere we go. Also if I have opportunities I should take them because they would help me in my life.

History has changed in some points. For example African Americans have more opportunities. Back then they were only able to be drivers or servants but today they could become professionals. Even though history has change for them the world of today is still racist. Back then African American suffer racism and today Latinos. I think history is going to keep repeating istself over and over and racism is always going to exist.
