Native Son Reflection

The novel Native Son by Richard Wright, has revealed to me knowledge of which I did not know of. This book has educated me of the racial conflicts and tensions that have lived before us and still live upon us. As a human I cant help but realize the similarities of our current society and the society of which Wright describes in his book. Its a shame that our society today has not changed significantly over the years and still remains almost like it was half a century ago. This book has changed my prespective on crimminals because maybe some of them commited thier crime because of the way society treated them. We need to stop being racist and we need to stop judging people based on the color of their skin. Only this will make our world a better and more pleasant place.

I have learned that live is seen differently. You see it one way, and others see it another way. For whites it’s seen as an easy life, no struggles or not as many as colored people. I’ve learned to always give yourself a chance an opportunities, and even if you see them as pity, take them because they will open other doors, other opportunities other chances. This will help me to look at everything in a different way. It will help me take anything bad to me as a lesson, a lesson that needs to be learn, that will help me out, help me write a story, help me write my own history as I keep growing up.
