How It Feels To Be Colored Me

People all over the world are of different race, culture, and color. The thing about diversity is that most of the time being the color you are sometimes puts you at a disadvantage. For minorities, like myself, weather it be Mexican, or Latin, African American have to go through situations that other races, like white people, don’t have to experience. These minorities I have mentioned are the most criticized and the most looked down on races in the world. Everyday people all over the world of these races have to endure constant racism, discrimination, and stereotyping that comes from certain cruel individuals. For me being Mexican is not a problem, It’s a blessing that everyday I can prove people wrong by accomplishing things, like graduating from high school and getting accepted to a good university, that others say Mexican people cant do. I know that at times I’m looked at differently and that I have many disadvantages because of being Mexican but I don’t let these thing affect me negatively, instead I use them as my inspirations to achieve higher goals than those set and based on statistics that say that Mexicans can only so much. I’m not a statistic; I will prove to the world that Mexicans can be successful by graduating from university and attending law school.

Personal Essay-Elvis-How Does It Feel to Be Colored me

Yes I’m black and what is wrong with that. Its just different color from the perfect white. Sometimes I feel things will be totally different if any person before had not put bad aspects about my people on other peoples mind. I don’t expect people to like me but I only expect to be respected as the human I am. They have no idea How Does It Feel to Be Colored me. They have no right t be judging me because of my colored skin.

Reflective analysis’- Mayra- “The significance of Feminist Movement”

The feminist movement was not only about women against men but also a political struggle to end sexist oppression. The root of sexist oppression is the family. In our family we learn to respect the men of the house or anyone that we are thought. We learn that there’s always somebody in control or someone who isn’t. For example in our house there’s always one parent more dominant than the other and it’s a pattern that keeps repeating itself. The feminist movement also fought for women equality. For example thanks to the feminist movement the women of today have the right to vote. The movement was also women overcoming oppression by men. The movement also though that if we could transform family relationships we can transform society. This movement was really important especially for women because it helped them fight for their rights and fight for equality.
